The entire Project Pyramid team arrived safely in Bangladesh this weekend. The group was fortunate enough to meet with Dr. Muhammad Yunus on Suday at the Grameen Bank headquarters in Dhaka. Yunus spent nearly two hours addressing the students and fielding questions about microfinance and social business. The Nobel laureate also reflected on his fond memories of Nashville and his time spent living in the music city. When asked about what was next for Grameen, Yunus suggested that online banking technology be integrated into the current banking operations. This meeting was certainly a high point for Project Pyramid and I was honored to be present.
Several of the student reactions are posted here: http://www.owenbloggers.com/goldpyramid/
